Statement Of Licensing Status

Statement Of Licensing Status

The Statement of Licensing Status (SLS) attests a specified therapeutic product has been registered for use in Singapore. It is usually intended to facilitate the screening and preparation of product information by importing agents when considering bids made in response to an international tender.

The SLS provides details pertaining to the therapeutic product such as name, dosage form, composition and product registration number. It is issued in the format as recommended by the WHO and will normally expire 24 months from the date of issuance. Upon expiry, a new application must be submitted. The SLS cannot be renewed or re-issued.

The SLS will be transmitted to the requesting party through the applicant. An applicant requesting for an SLS should be the registrant of the therapeutic product. The company should authorize a responsible person (e.g. Managing Director, QA/QC Manager, Production Manager) to apply for the certificate.

New Information Related to Implementation of the Health Products (Therapeutic Products) Regulations 2016 (effective from 1 November 2016)

The Statement of Licensing Status (SLS) will be issued under the Health Products (Therapeutic Products) Regulations 2016. There will not be any change to the regulatory requirements in the application and issuance of the SLS.
