Position: Senior/ Regulatory Inspector, Enforcement
Responsibilities:
- Enforce the regulatory controls and legal requirements on pharmaceuticals and other health-related products in accordance with the Medicines Act, Poisons Act and other drug laws, with the objective of protecting public health & safety.
- Gather evidence, investigate offences under various medicines laws and initiate prosecution against offenders.
- Conduct inspection and audit to ensure compliance of medicines laws by retailers and pharmacies.
- Samplies of pharmaceutical and health products to ensure that public health is not threatened by adulterated health products and medicines.
- Manage all forms of data collected from various sources, including counterfeit and adulterated products.
- Process and analyse alerts on defective/ recalled health products to assess impact on public health and safety, and conduct recall of defective health products according to guidelines.
- Public Education and Outreach to warn members of public about the dangers of unregistered drugs.
Requirements:
- Polytechnic Diploma (preferably in Pharmaceutical Sciences, Biotechnology)
- Some knowledge in pharmaceuticals/ health related products and pharmaceutical laws.
- 1-2 years' relevant working experience in the science/ medical field.
- Possess strong analytical and observation skills.
- Possess good communication ability (spoken & written)
- Team player with high personal integrity and honesty.
- Comfortable with numbers and numerical analysis.
- Be keen about updates on the development of the criminal law process in Singapore and other countries where collaboration is to be expected.
