• Provide specialist consultation in aspects of transfusion medicine, such as blood donor management, laboratory medicine, clinical transfusion therapy and cell therapy.
• Manage our partnerships with hospital colleagues in ensuring the provision of safe and appropriate blood transfusions for patients.
• Lead a team of medical officers and registrars in the provision of blood transfusion service.
• Contribute to scientific and clinical teaching as required, including supervision of postgraduate trainees
• Participate in research projects to further the development of transfusion medicine and cell therapy.

Requirements

• Candidates must hold the relevant specialist qualifications in either Haematology, Immunology or Microbiology, and be eligible for registration with the Singapore Specialist Accreditation Board.
• Clinical experience in a blood service or hospital haematology/pathology department would be an advantage.
