Position: Medical Screener
Responsibilities:
- Undertake routine pre-donation health screening and selection of potential blood donors.
- Perform Donor Health Assessment and evaluate their suitability for blood donation. Educate and counsel them if they do not meet the donation criteria.
- Countercheck the registration process so that donors' particulars are updated.
- Counsel donors who have low haemoglobin as to why they should not donate and provide them with nutritional advice on iron rich food.
- Assist in blood collection and manage donors with adverse reaction.
- Maintain good medical records
Requirements
- Registered Nurses with at least 15 years general nursing experience or 10 years blood bank experience.
- Or, Foreign Medical Graduates with MBBS or equivalent
- Or, Medical Technologists with at least 10 years working experience in a blood bank.
