Position:         Scientist, Illicit Drugs Laboratory
 
Responsibilities:

You will work with a team of Scientists to manage the forensic examination and analysis of drug exhibits submitted by the law enforcement agencies. Apart from working on the bench, you will also supervise a team of highly-competent Laboratory Officers in the forensic examination and analysis of exhibits.  Based on the scientific evidence gathered, you will need to issue a formal report and give evidence in court as an expert witness to testify on the scientific process of analysis.  Besides being involved in quality assurance programme, you will also spend some time on research and development projects relating to drugs of abuse and analytical techniques.

 
Requirements:

·         Minimum BSc (Hons) 2nd Upper in Chemistry

·         A few years of working experience in an analytical laboratory is desirable

·         Experience with GC/MS and HPLC is desirable.

·         Excellent written and spoken English, good oral presentation skills

·         Able to work independently with a good sense of team spirit

·         Meticulous personality

·         Good character reference

·         Innovative
