Division: Food Safety Division Position: Senior Analytical Scientist, Food Safety Laboratory
Responsibilities:
The candidate will play an important role in the development of new analytical services serving the regulatory authority. He/She will need to carry out R&D activities as well lead teams in method development. The candidate has to ensure that all methods developed adhere to a quality system in full compliance to ISO/IEC 17025 to provide accurate and precise result.
Requirements:
- Postgraduate degree (MSc, PhD) with a strong background in analytical chemistry is preferred
- Experience with LC/MS/MS, GC/MS, NMR and ICP/MS is desirable
- At least 5 years of working experience in analytical laboratory environment in a supervisory role, leading research and development.
- Experience with method development and accreditation of laboratory operations
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with ability to lead, supervise, guide and train subordinates
- Confident, resilient, good team player and result-oriented
