Under the Medicines (Registration of Pharmacies) Regulations, a pharmacy must be registered with the Health Sciences Authority (HSA) to carry out dispensing and retail sales of medicinal products.
With effect from 1 November 2008, pharmacists who are retailing poisons at a registered pharmacy will not be required to hold a Form C Poisons Licence if they are holding a valid Practicing Certificate with the Singapore Pharmacy Council, in accordance with Poisons (Amendment) Rules 2008. However, please note that pharmacists who intend to conduct wholesale sale of poisons at a registered pharmacy, including export sales and supply of poisons to medical clinics & ships, would have to hold a Form A Poisons Licence.
