Following the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA)'s advisory committees meeting held in February 2005 on cyclo-oxygenase-2 (COX-2) selective and non-selective non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs), the US FDA has announced its regulatory decisions pertaining to these drugs which include requesting Pfizer to voluntarily withdraw valdecoxib (Bextra®) from the US market. More details.
