Transfer of Control of Acetyl chloride from HSA to the Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF)

Please be informed that under the Poisons Act (Amendment of Schedule) Notification 2005 which was published on 12 May 2005, Acetyl chloride will not be controlled as a poison with effect from 1 June 2005. The control of Acetyl chloride will come under the Fire Safety (Petroleum and Flammable Materials) Regulations, with the Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) as the controlling agency.
