Here are the things you should do before, during and after your donation.
Rest and Relax
You should get adequate rest the night before your donation, as well as on the actual day itself.
Please refrain from any strenuous or athletic activities, in particular heavy lifting with your “donating arm”, for at least 24 hours after your donation.
Food and Fluids
There is no need to abstain from food before your donation. You should take your meals regularly on the actual day – in fact, eating a light meal 2 to 3 hours before your donation will help.
You should also drink lots of fluids, from the day before and till the day after your donation.
You need:
- One identity proof for registration ♦ a contactable address and a telephone number in Singapore within the next 6 months.
- A consent form signed by your parent/guardian if you happen to be 16 or 17 years old.
