Cancer treatment (chemo-therapy)	5-7 units of blood weekly 20 units of platelets weekly
Burns	8-40 units of blood and platelets
Serious traffic/industrial accident	20-50 units of red blood cells
Bone marrow transplant	120 units of platelets 20 units of red blood cells
