The Health Sciences Authority (HSA) would like to inform healthcare professionals of the illegal distribution of counterfeit LIGACLIP® EXTRA LIGATING CLIP CARTRIDGES in the United States that has been detected by the legitimate manufacturer, Ethicon Endo-Surgery (EES).To date, HSA has not received any reports of these counterfeit clips being supplied in Singapore. However, as a precautionary measure, HSA would like to alert healthcare professionals on the possibility of counterfeits of this product if these were purchased from unauthorised sources and to take the necessary preventive actions to help ensure patient safety.
