CooperVision Recalls Specific Lots of Biofinity Sphere Monthly Disposable Contact Lenses

CooperVision has reported a recall of specific lots of their Biofinity sphere monthly disposable contact lenses. CooperVision is taking this action as a limited number of blisters were found to contain foreign particles. This recall only applies to the -7.00 diopter products with the following product lot number:
• 12908000914028
• 12908050243028
• 12908050254028
• 12908050265028
The product lot number can be found on the back of the carton (figure 1) and blister foil (figure 2) as shown below:

2 In total, 11,868 pieces of the affected lens have been supplied in Singapore. To date, the Health Sciences Authority has not received any adverse event reports associated with the affected contact lenses.
3 Consumers are advised not to use the products from the affected lots. Consumers are advised to seek medical attention immediately if they experience any eye irritation with the affected products. For further enquiries related to the product, please email CooperVision at info@sg.coopervision.com.
