The Health Sciences Authority (HSA) wishes to alert members of the public to a fake account on Facebook bearing the name “HSA” and displaying the HSA logo. HSA currently does not use a Facebook account.
2 The fake account carries grammatical errors in its post that advertises a certain service. This service claims: “No medication or surgery, completely recovery of arthritis, sciatica, neck pain and waist pain” and “say goodbye to lumbar disc herniation, cervical spondylosis, waist and leg pain”. Refer to the Annex of the pdf version for a picture of the fake account.
3 Facebook has been informed and the fake account has been removed.
4 HSA does not and will not advertise such services. Members of the public are advised not to respond to accounts or posts on Facebook that carry such claims, or click on any links on such accounts.
