MSD Pharma (Singapore) Pte. Ltd would like to inform all healthcare professionals who perform insertion or removal of Implanon NXT® on the updated insertion and removal instructions to minimise the risk of intravascular insertion and neurovascular injury. The updated sections include those related to the site of insertion and the procedures for implant insertion and removal in order to further minimize the risk of deep insertion and its potential consequences, including the rare events of intravascular insertion and neurovascular injury. Please refer to the letter for details.
