B.Braun Medical (B.Braun) would like to inform healthcare professionals with important safety information regarding the use of B.Braun Celsite PICC-Cel kits. Following a limited number of customer complaints and further investigations, B.Braun has identified a risk of difficulty or impossibility in inserting the catheter into the peelable sheath provided in selected models of Celsite PICC-Cel kits, manufactured before May 2014. B.Braun recommends that users verify the insertion of the catheter through the peelable sheath before starting implantation procedures. The local import and supply of the affected products has ceased since 2012. Healthcare professionals are advised to refer to the letter for more details.
