Important software update for the EMBLEM™ Subcutaneous Implantable Cardioverter Defibrillator (S-ICD) to address transient sensing behaviour

A Dear Healthcare Professional Letter has been issued by Boston Scientific Asia Pacific Pte Ltd to inform healthcare professionals of an important software update for the EMBLEM^TM Subcutaneous Implantable Cardioverter Defibrillator (S-ICD). This software update will correct the potential for a rare interaction between the EMBLEM^TM S-ICD and LATITUDE^TM Programmer, which may cause S-ICD sensing disablement for a 24-hour interval. The potential for this behaviour is fully addressed upon interrogation by an updated programmer. Healthcare professionals are advised to perform the next scheduled device check in-person using an updated Model 3300 LATITUDE^TM or Model 3200 EMBLEM^TM programmer.
