A Dear Healthcare Professional Letter has been issued by Boston Scientific Asia Pacific Pte Ltd to inform healthcare professionals of an important software update for the EMBLEMTM Subcutaneous Implantable Cardioverter Defibrillator (S-ICD). This software update will correct the potential for a rare interaction between the EMBLEMTM S-ICD and LATITUDETM Programmer, which may cause S-ICD sensing disablement for a 24-hour interval. The potential for this behaviour is fully addressed upon interrogation by an updated programmer. Healthcare professionals are advised to perform the next scheduled device check in-person using an updated Model 3300 LATITUDETM or Model 3200 EMBLEMTM programmer. Please refer to the letter for details.
Only abstracts of the Dear Healthcare Professional Letters (DHCPL) are provided on this website. Details of these letters can be found in the MOH Alert System, which is accessible via the Health Professionals Portal (HPP), a one-stop portal for all healthcare professionals in Singapore.
