Swissmed Pte Ltd would like to notify healthcare professionals of an update to the Instruction For Use (IFU) on handling of the finger grip for HEALAFLOW products following a recent incident that occurred during HEALAFLOW injection. During the injection, the finger grip of the syringe dissociated from the body of the syringe and led to an unexpected movement of the syringe and cannula into the patient’s eye. Healthcare professionals are advised to be aware of the proper handling of the syringe to avoid the dissociation of the finger grip during injection. Information on handling of the syringe will be updated in the IFU of HEALAFLOW. Please refer to the letter for details.
