Medtronic International Limited would like to notify healthcare professionals of the label updates for ACTIVA® PC, ACTIVA® SC, ACTIVA® RC AND ACTIVA® PC+S. Medtronic has been informed of an event where a patient experienced inability to swim following Deep Brain Stimulation (DBS) implantation and initiation of DBS therapy for Parkinson’s disease. Medtronic is working to update the labels of DBS. Healthcare professionals are advised to be aware that loss of coordination may be a side effect of DBS therapy. Please refer to the letter for details.
