Cook South East Asia would like to inform healthcare professionals of the product label update for Cook Inferior Vena Cava (IVC) Filter. The label updates are being made to ensure physicians are appropriately informed to make the best decisions regarding patient care and are not related to feedback questioning device safety or performance. These updates are based on recent information from post-market surveillance, data published in international standards and regulatory communications, and updated clinical data pertinent to the products. Amendments include changes to clinically relevant sections on Precautions, Potential Adverse Events and References of the product label. Healthcare Professionals are also reinforced on the recommendations in the product labels, which include the importance of routine follow-up and IVC Filter retrieval when clinically indicated. Please refer to the letter for details.
Only abstracts of the Dear Healthcare Professional Letters (DHCPL) are provided on this website.
