Johnson & Johnson Pte Ltd would like to inform healthcare professionals of the incorrect labelling of the material for all lots of Kirschner Wire 1.6mm w/Drill Tip, L 200mm. The device label warns of hypersensitivity reactions, but was indicated to be made of stainless steel instead of cobalt based alloy which contains 35% nickel. There is no additional post-operative harm expected to be associated with this mislabelling. Patients should have post-operative follow-ups as per their doctors’ normal guidance. Please refer to the letter for details.
