A Dear Healthcare Professional Letter has been issued by Carl Zeiss Pte. Ltd. for the recall of all intraocular lenses AT TORBI 709MP from batch 1R220240 due to a possible labelling error on a production order. The implantation of a wrong lens could lead to a refractive error of the patient. Healthcare professionals are advised to review the refractive outcomes for patients implanted with the affected devices. In case of a wrong refraction result, healthcare professionals are advised to consider whether additional surgery is required to correct the error based on judgement of the benefit/risk for the patient. Please refer to the letter for details.
Only abstracts of the Dear Healthcare Professional Letters (DHCPL) are provided on this website. Details of these letters can be found in the MOH Alert System, which is accessible via the Health Professionals Portal (HPP), a one-stop portal for all healthcare professionals in Singapore.
