A Dear Healthcare Professional Letter has been issued by Otsuka Pharmaceuticals (Singapore) Pte. Ltd. to inform healthcare professionals of an update to the local Risk Management Plan for Jinarc® (tolvaptan). Otsuka will be discontinuing the Healthcare Professional (HCP) Education and Certification programme, and the verification of submitted prescribing checklists against stock balances. These changes are intended to streamline the prescribing and dispensing process. HCPs are still required to perform blood tests for hepatic transaminases and bilirubin in accordance with the Jinarc® package insert. Otsuka will continue to distribute the Patient Education Brochure to all prescribing physicians for dissemination to their patients or caregivers, and additional Risk Minimisation Materials will remain available and be provided to new HCPs, or upon request by existing HCPs. Please refer to the letter for details.
Only abstracts of the Dear Healthcare Professional Letters (DHCPL) are provided on this website.
