Urgent Medical Device Recall for Palindrome™ Precision SI Chronic Catheter, Palindrome™ SI Chronic Catheter, Palindrome™ Precision HSI Chronic Catheter, and Palindrome™ HSI Chronic Catheter

Covidien Private Limited would like to notify healthcare professionals of the voluntary recall of Palindrome™ Precision SI Chronic Catheter, Palindrome™ SI Chronic Catheter, Palindrome™ Precision HSI Chronic Catheter, and Palindrome™ HSI Chronic Catheter with expiry dates of February 2018 or earlier. Covidien is initiating this recall, as recent tests have identified that the affected implants may not meet the minimum silver release specification for the entire 30-days period. Healthcare professionals are advised to immediately remove and quarantine the affected Palindrome Chronic Catheters for return to the company. Please refer to the letter for  more details.
