Urgent Medical Device Recall for specific lots of WECK® Auto Endo5® Automatic Hem-o-lok® Clip Appliers due to risk of misloading and/or jamming

A Dear Healthcare Professional Letter has been issued by Teleflex Medical Asia Pte Ltd to inform healthcare professionals of the voluntary recall of specific WECK^® Auto Endo5^® Automatic Hem-o-lok^® Clip Appliers due to a possibility of misloading and/or jamming which may lead to clips falling out, clip breakage, or the jaws becoming locked in a partially closed position (jammed). In these instances, medical or surgical intervention could be required, and procedural delays may occur. Healthcare professionals are informed that the potential issue is isolated to the applier and there is no evidence that it affects the performance of the ligation clip once placed. For patients implanted with the ligation clips through the affected appliers, there is no need for any additional patient management actions. Please refer to the letter for details.
