Johnson & Johnson Pte Ltd would like to inform healthcare professionals of a voluntary recall of selected lots of Cortex Screw Ø 4.5mm, self-tapping, length 20mm, Pure Titanium, sterile and non-sterile. Synthes GmbH has determined that two lots of 4.5mm Cortex Screws, length 20mm, may contain a 4.5mm Cortex Screw that is 22mm in length. The screws are both etched and labelled with 20mm Part numbers. A screw that is too long can result in damage to articular surface or soft tissue if not recognized during the procedure. Healthcare professionals are advised to measure the screw prior to insertion to avoid potential harm. Please refer to the letter for details.
