Johnson & Johnson Medical Singapore would like to inform healthcare professionals of a recall of two lots of Synthes Expert™ Tibial Nail Ø 9.0 mm, cannulated, length 270 mm, as the affected devices were erroneously anodized green instead of blue. In the event that the nonconforming nail was implanted, the mismatch with the green color locking screw may potentially cause bone damage, intra-operative bone fracture, and extended surgical delay. Healthcare professionals are advised to quarantine all unused affected devices and return them to Johnson & Johnson Medical. Please refer to the letter for details.
