A Dear Healthcare Professional Letter has been issued by Stryker to inform healthcare professionals of a voluntary product recall of specific lots of the Exeter 2.5 Intramedullary (IM) Plug, which is part of the Stryker Exeter® V40™ Hip System, due to a potential that the size on the package label of the Exeter 2.5 IM Plug may not match the device within the packaging. There are no patient management recommendations as there are no identified harms associated with this issue. Healthcare professionals are advised to identify, quarantine and dispose all affected products. They may contact Stryker for product replacement and inventory questions. No actions are required for patients with plugs implanted from affected devices. Please refer to the letter for details.
Only abstracts of the Dear Healthcare Professional Letters (DHCPL) are provided on this website. Details of these letters can be found in the MOH Alert System, which is accessible via the Health Professionals Portal (HPP), a one-stop portal for all healthcare professionals in Singapore.
