Voluntary Recall of Zimmer Persona 48mm x 2.5mm Female Screw (Item Number: 42-5099-025-48, All Lots Manufactured)

Zimmer Pte Ltd (Zimmer) would like to inform healthcare professionals of a voluntary recall of all lots of Persona 48mm x 2.5mm Female Screw. Zimmer is initiating this recall due to potential use of the screw in cortical bone. Use of the screw in cortical bone may result in stripping of the 2.5mm Persona Hex Driver and subsequent issues during screw removal. Healthcare professionals are advised to immediately identify and quarantine the affected products for their return. The affected product would also be obsoleted due to the lack of clinical application. Healthcare professionals are advised to refer to the letter for more details.
