Zimmer Pte Ltd (Zimmer) would like to inform healthcare professionals of important information relating to the surgical technique for the Zimmer Trabecular Metal™ Reverse Shoulder System Glenosphere and Base Plate. Zimmer is initiating this notification, as 90 global complaints relating to the glenosphere disassociating from the base plate or difficulty assembling the glenosphere to the base plate were received. As such, Zimmer would like to reinforce the importance of the updated surgical technique and instructional video released in 2012 specific to the assembly of the glenosphere to the base plate. Healthcare professionals are advised to refer to the Dear Healthcare Professional Letter for more details.
