Complaints of head-stem dissociation for specific sizes of LFIT™ Anatomic CoCr V40™ Femoral Heads manufactured prior to March 4, 2011

Stryker Singapore Pte Ltd would like to inform healthcare professionals of a higher than expected number of complaints documenting femoral head/hip stem dissociation for certain sizes and lots of LFIT™ Anatomic CoCr V40™ Femoral Heads manufactured prior to March 4, 2011. Potential clinical conditions related to femoral head/hip stem dissociation include dislocation, peri-prosthetic fracture, leg length discrepancy, secondary loss of mobility, adverse local tissue reaction and the need for revision surgery. Healthcare professionals are advised to continue their follow-up of their patients implanted with the affected devices as per the normal protocol established. Please refer to the letter for details.
