Renew tobacco import and wholesale licence

Find out how to renew your tobacco import and wholesale licence.

When to renew

All tobacco import and wholesale licences will automatically be renewed annually via GIRO. You are not allowed to import and wholesale tobacco products under an expired licence.

The licence renewal fees will be automatically deducted within one month before your licence expires. Please ensure that there are sufficient funds in your bank account for deduction at least one month before the licence expiry date. There is no need to submit a renewal application for GIRO account holders.

Note: If you wish to let your current licence expire, you need to notify us at least 45 days before the expiry date. Otherwise, a cancellation fee of $100 is chargeable during the one month period before the licence expires.

Renewal fees that have been deducted are non-refundable if the renewed licence has already come into effect (i.e. after the expiry date of the previous licence).
