Blood donation

Dear blood donors, our blood banks will be closed on Polling Day, which falls on 10 July 2020 (Friday). All blood banks will resume operations on 11 July 2020 (Saturday).

All our blood banks will remain open during the circuit breaker even as Singapore implements elevated safe distancing measures to pre-empt the trend of increasing local transmission of COVID-19. Blood donation is an essential service to ensure that we have sufficient blood for our patients.

As the virus does not stop the need for blood products, we strongly urge donors who are healthy and eligible to come to our blood banks to continue donating blood. To shorten your time spent at the blood bank, we encourage you to make an appointment before coming. Find out more about our precautionary measures here.

Please be informed that any person who is unwell, with risk of exposure to COVID-19 or who has travelled overseas in the  last 14 days will not be allowed to enter our premises due to the current COVID-19 situation. During this period, we seek your understanding that only donors can enter the blood banks as part of our safe distancing measure. Please also wear a mask when you are in our premises.

We would like to say a big thank you to everyone who has answered our call for blood donation.

Please be informed that any person who has travelled overseas in the last 14 days will not be allowed to enter our premises due to the current COVID-19 situation.
