Notice

Effective from 14 February 2023, the waiting period before the next donation for blood donors with low haemoglobin level, including borderline low cases, will be standardised to 28 days. This is to allow your body sufficient time to replenish iron stores and build up your haemoglobin level. To meet the required haemoglobin level, you are advised to maintain a well-balanced diet with foods rich in iron.

Blood donation

Blood is needed to save lives in times of emergencies and to sustain the lives of those with medical conditions, like leukemia, thalassaemia and bleeding disorders, as well as patients who are undergoing major surgeries.

Every hour of the day, 15 units of blood are used in Singapore. We need to collect about 400 units of blood daily to meet the blood needs of patients in Singapore.

Make an appointment to donate blood today.
