Find out how to renew your tobacco retail licence.

When to renew

All tobacco licences must be renewed annually. You are not allowed to sell tobacco products under an expired licence.

You must cancel your current licence and apply for a new one instead in the following situations:

  • Outlet has been taken over by another company or individual.
  • Relocation of the retail outlet.
  • Change of company UEN, such as a change from sole proprietorship to private limited.

How to renew

GIRO payment

If you are on GIRO, the fees will be automatically deducted within one month before your licence expires. Please ensure that there are sufficient funds in your bank account for deduction at least one month before the licence expiry date.

There is no need to submit a renewal application for GIRO account holders.

Note: If you wish to let your current licence expire, you need to notify us at least 45 days before the expiry date. Otherwise, a cancellation fee of $60 is chargeable during the one month period before the licence expires. Renewal fees that have been deducted are non-refundable if the renewed licence has already come into effect (i.e. after the expiry date of the previous licence).

Online payment

For online payment, please submit the renewal application at LicenceOne at least one day before your licence expires. Ensure you have your SingPass or CorpPass credentials before you access the system.

You may pay by credit card or eNets.

HSA Outram Enquiry Counter

For payments made in person at the HSA Outram Enquiry Counter, only Nets and credit card are accepted.

Note: If you are renewing your licence in person at HSA Outram, please submit the completed renewal notice.

Retrieve your licence

Upon renewal, an electronic copy of your licence will be available on LicenceOne website, under the Licences tab. You may download and print a copy to keep for reference at the licensed outlet.
