Association of Teosyal Products with Anaphylactic shock

Teoxane S.A, Switzerland would like to inform healthcare professionals of an upcoming update to the Instructions For Use (IFU) for Teosyal products to include the risk of anaphylactic shock occurring with their use in patients presenting with potential contra-indications. The safety issue was identified through a reported adverse event in France where a patient with a severe history of drug allergies developed anaphylactic shock associated with the use of Teosyal Puresense products. The current IFU for Teosyal products will be updated to include anaphylactic shock as a possible adverse reaction. The DHCPLs for the respective affected products will be disseminated by two local companies - EP Plus (S) Pte Ltd and A. Menarini Singapore Pte Ltd. Healthcare professionals are advised to refer to the letter for more details.
