Change in Sodium Chloride Injection 0.9% USP 500 mL solution PH on storage

Baxter would like to alert healthcare professionals to the change in the Sodium Chloride Injection 0.9% USP 500 mL solution PH on storage. The Sodium Chloride Injection’s Label and Product Insert documents the product’s PH range to be 4.5 to 7.00. However, an internal testing found the PH of the solution was lower than 4.5 after 18 months of storage. The change in PH does not impact the quality of product and customers may continue to use the affected product. Please refer to the letter for details.
