Voluntary Consumer Level Recall of LOT: L930 ACET-650 (Acetaminophen) Suppositories Mislabelled as ACET-325

Medicell Pharmaceutical will be conducting a voluntary consumer level recall of one lot of ACET-650 (acetaminophen) suppositories, Lot: L930. Some of the ACET-650 suppositories from this batch may be mislabelled as ACET-325 on the blister packs but the external product box indicates the correct dose of 650 mg. Globally within this affected lot, only a small percentage (appropriately 1 in 5) of the acetaminophen suppositories containing 650 mg were mislabelled as 325 mg on the blister packs. Medicell Pharmaceutical has since quarantined the affected lot L930 and recalled all un-dispensed affected ACET-650 suppositories from pharmacies. Together, these accounts for 94% of Lot: L930 which was available in Singapore. None of the stocks recovered to date were found to be mislabelled. Although the risk of using the mislabelled product is small, as an added precaution, Medicell Pharmaceutical is recalling the remaining (about 6%) of the suppositories to prevent the unnecessary exposure of patients to the mislabelled suppositories.
