HSA Charges Two Men for Alleged Importation of E-vaporisers
The Health Sciences
Authority (HSA) has charged a 21-year-old man, Muhammad Amirul Iqbal Bin Mohd
Nazri and a 19-year-old man, Lim Teck Wee in court on 17 November 2025 for allegedly
importing e-vaporisers into Singapore.

On 15 November 2025, officers from the Immigration & Checkpoints
Authority (ICA) at Woodlands Checkpoint found 1,000 e-vaporisers in a
Malaysian-registered car that Amirul Iqbal was driving. On the same day, in a
separate case, officers from ICA found more than 1,600 e-vaporisers and related
components in a Malaysian-registered van that Lim was driving. Both accused
persons were arrested by HSA on the same day. Investigations are ongoing.
3 Both cases have been adjourned to 15 December 2025.

the Tobacco (Control of Advertisements and Sale) Act, it is an offence to
import, distribute, sell or offer for sale e-vaporisers and their components.
Any person convicted of an offence is liable to a fine of up to $10,000, or
imprisonment of up to six months or both for the first offence, and a fine of
up to $20,000, or imprisonment of up to 12 months or both for the second or
subsequent offence.
