Cosmetics Laboratory
The Cosmetics Laboratory provides analytical and investigative services mainly to the Health Products Regulation Group. Our work supports the safety of cosmetic products sold in Singapore. Such products are tested for prohibited or restricted substances listed under the Health Product Act, including toxic and carcinogenic substances.
Our laboratory has led ASEAN in the analysis of prohibited colourants and tretinoin in cosmetic products since 2003, and we continue to carry out extensive research and development on innovative methods for testing.
